Is my business too small for this?

Probably not, though it depends. If you make money decisions and your own pay is tied to the company, the work applies. If you have only a few transactions a month, good records may be enough for now, and we'll tell you so. Does a small business need a CFO lists the signs.

Should my business be an LLC or an S corporation before we start?

Not before we talk. How the business is taxed shapes how you're paid, but the choice should rest on how you make money and what you plan to take out. We look at that with you. We don't push a structure.

Can you prepare my personal return too?

Yes. The business return and your personal return are prepared from the same closed books. The two are linked, so it helps when one team does both.

Do you handle payday for my employees and for me?

No. A payroll provider that you choose does that, and you approve each run. Our part is picking the provider with you, entering your own wage correctly and reading the filings once payday is past.

What if my business and my own money are tangled together right now?

Then we start there. We help you separate them going forward and record what already happened, line by line. It's a common starting point, and nothing to be embarrassed about.

How often would we talk?

Once a month, after your books close, for a short read of the numbers. A few times a year we look further ahead at your pay and your taxes. Between those, you can ask questions as they come up.

Which bookkeeping program do you use?

The company's own QuickBooks Online file. Another program is worth raising on the call, and you'll get a candid answer on whether it can work.

Can you help with a loan application?

We can prepare the personal financial statement with you and make sure your books are in order. See the personal financial statement page. A full lender package is a larger job, and we'd talk through what your lender has asked for.

Can you fix my personal credit?

No, and this site doesn't offer that. We work on the money side of the business and on the form a lender asks you to complete.

What is the free call like?

A relaxed video chat. We look at both sides of your money with you, the business and your own, and we say what would help and whether you need us yet. You sign nothing and pay nothing.

What will it cost, and when do we hear the figure?

You'll know before we begin. The fee is written down, with what it covers beside it, and any change is raised with you first.
